Rancho Cerritos is an alpaca ranch in upstate New York, south of Utica, owned by Robert & Judy Reyes. Our farm has 97 beautiful, rolling acres of farm land, pasture and woods.

In another life, which seems like a long time ago, Judy lived on a farm where she raised livestock: hogs, a few horses, some beef cattle, dairy goats, and an assortment of chickens, ducks, geese, barn cats & Newfoundland dogs. It was a wonderful environment to raise children as well as livestock. Robert also has agriculture in his background, having grown up on a farm and working on a farm throughout high school.

Prior to the latest chapter in their lives, Robert & Judy worked together to build a printing business where they received extensive training in business management and business models. Judy also worked in education for many years as a teacher and then later as a school administrator. Robert worked in human resources management and organizational development and has had extensive training in socio-tech systems, systems thinking, and lean management. Together, their combined years of experience provide them with the business tools to help you become successful at raising alpacas.

Both bring experience in training and development to their alpaca ranch that enables them to educate those new to alpacas & livestock management.
